バンコクお友達通信・・・・US Trip

Hi Mina, Mari and Nami,
I’m back and a happy new year!
life is so so busy. some HK friends just came over to bkk….
We had a new year holidays in US for about 12 days. we spent a week in Los Angeles
and then in San Francisco for the rest of the days.

overall our US trip was okay. we were told by Cathay airline staff due to HK airport strike 　(　we transit from HK　) about the luggage delay when we arrived at LA airport, we did so on the understanding that delivery could be by the next day. but there was still no sign from airline anything about the luggage the next night. all of our clothes, personal stuffs, phone and computer charger were in the luggage. LA night time weather was so cool but we had nothing. imagine how i was so worrying about our luggage huh. i have tried to many times to contact the local baggage office but had no luck to reach anyone. we were in a terrible mess. i had to call to HK airline office and asked for help. eventually our luggage was delayed for 3 days. luckily, i had already cancelled the trip to Las Vegas…otherwise…no eye see leh…
on the highway to San Francisco, we stopped over one night at Monterey Bay.
Monterey Bay is a bay of the Pacific Ocean, south of San Francisco.

This beautiful seaside community combines all the charm of small town America…such as carmel-by-the-sea, 17 mile drive, fisherman wharf….( i had the best clam chowder soup in here. ) i do believe a good stay that will makes a vacation feel complete. seems there is no better way to experience a Monterey Bay retreat than to stay at the Cannery Row’s beachside hotel leh, overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Monterey. i just love this place….the romantic fireplace, feather bed and the so beautiful oceanfront scene…

btw, next Monday is Lunar Chinese new year. this year, i will be going to Chiangmai with Paul’s family for a couple of days ar…:-)
